Susie earned her double Bachelor’s degrees in Counseling Psychology and Social Welfare from Handong University in South Korea and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Wheaton College in Illinois. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate in Marriage and Family Therapy program at Florida State University. Her research interests focus on parent-child relationships and intergenerational transmission of internalizing problems. She has clinical experiences working with couples, families, and individuals with relationship issues, family conflicts, and various mental health concerns. As a systemic therapist, Susie’s approach focuses on relationship patterns/dynamics. She is passionate about working with couples, families, and individuals hoping to improve their presenting concerns (e.g., communication, anger, drinking, depression, anxiety). Her primary goal is to create a safe and welcoming place for her clients.
