Noel Magwood is passionate about catapulting her clients to a place of lasting healing and freedom. She holds both a Master of Science and Education Specialist degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida State University and is currently trained in eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. For several years, Noel has facilitated spirituality, body movement, and emotion-focused groups for clients with eating disorders. She employs an eclectic approach in session, but her beliefs about what evokes change most closely align with cognitive behavioral therapy. She has worked with clients with a vast range of presenting concerns, including eating disorders, depression, autism, ADHD, grief, career-related concerns, post-partum depression, and sexual trauma. Born and raised in the heart of Miami, Florida, Noel knows exactly what it means to be cultured and diverse, masterfully demonstrating cultural humility and a person-centered approach in her work with clients. She has made it her life’s mission to speak to the unique layers of each individual while promoting their wholeness. In her free time, she enjoys researching perfectionism, hosting a book club, and spending quality time with her Shih-tzu, Princess.
