Crystal is currently a doctoral candidate in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Florida State University. She received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology & Spanish from Texas Tech University where she then completed a master’s degree in Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy. Her research and practice are primarily focused on understanding power dynamics within romantic relationships and disrupting harmful patterns to improve relationship satisfaction. Additionally, her interests include Feminist Family Therapy, Experiential Therapies, social justice, and working to improve therapy retention rates for clients with marginalized identities. She has experience working with a variety of populations in different settings including the juvenile justice system. Altogether, Crystal’s primary focus in clinical settings is to help clients foster connection and maintain growth.
