Katie completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Florida State University. Katie’s clinical experiences have focused on couples, families, and individuals with a special emphasis on LGBTQ+ clients and those who have experienced trauma. As a Marriage and Family Therapist, Katie’s approach is always relational in nature. For couples, her focus is on improving the quality of the connection between partners to help them feel safe and valued. For individuals, she tends to focus on the relationship one has with their self to help them also feel safe and valued. Overall, her main goal is foster safety and connection for all clients.
