Emily takes an affirming approach to mental health care and strive to create a comfortable and inclusive therapeutic space that celebrates diversity, promotes acceptance, and encourages vulnerability. She supports clients in cultivating a cohesive relationship with the self and fostering effective communication between their body, mind, and feelings. She is a passionate advocate for those with mental health conditions and engage in anti-stigma efforts, outreach, and psycho-education. Emily maintains a growth-mindset and my approach is client-centered, compassionate, non-judgemental, expressive, direct, empathetic, empowering, and authentic.

Emily earned her Master’s and Education Specialist’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The Florida State University, and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina Asheville. She practices trauma-informed care and incorporates elements of dialectical behavioral therapy, attachment therapy, somatic therapy, and more. She often works with trauma survivors, neurodivergent people, and the queer community. Emily has experience working with anxiety, autism, depression, ADHD, personality disorders, mood disorders, PTSD, addictions, OCD, DID, and more.
