Michael Yeber is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern at Better Living Solutions. Prior to entering graduate school at Florida State University to pursue a master’s degree in counseling, he was employed for eight years as a Case Manager/Assistant Team Leader on a Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) team.
In his time at Better Living Solutions, Mr. Yeber commits himself to supporting members of the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities through providing a supportive and affirming environment where clients are given the opportunity to explore their identities, autonomy, and worth. Together with individuals, he works to challenge the oppressive stories and narratives that have been created by society, and helps write new stories based on self-power and authenticity.
Through utilizing DBT, Narrative Therapy, and ACT, Mr. Yeber helps clients learn skills and coping strategies in order to help maintain mindfulness and distress tolerance. Through working together, clients are supported as they navigate stress, boundary work, and life transitions.
