Music Therapy Collegiate Intern
Maria is working towards her Masters of Music in Music Therapy from Florida State University and towards earning the Board Certified Music Therapist credentials. She graduated with her Bachelors of Music from the University of Florida, with certificates in Piano Performance and Music in Medicine. She enjoys serving as an accompanist, witnessing collaborating musicians grow – an aspect she thoroughly appreciates about music therapy, and its ability to help people reach their full potential. Maria has experience working with infants, adolescents, adults, and older adults; accommodating special needs and stages of dementia; and in settings including schools, hospitals, assisted-living, in-home, and virtual. She cares deeply about mental health and eating disorder recovery, so she is honored to be here to support and accompany each person towards achieving their goals.
