The Spark of Hope Project aims to connect families and organizations with other families in the Florida Panhandle whose lives are forever changed by Hurricane Michael.
Donations and hurricane relief projects can not fix the broken lives of our neighbors, but together, we can create a Spark of Hope.

Ways you can contribute:
Refer a Family
- If you would like to refer a family who has lost everything to be “adopted”, you can send us an email or download this file and fax it to us with all of the information.
Adopt a Family
- You can adopt a family to provide them with everything that they need to get through this holiday season. The storm has left many people with no home, no possessions, and nowhere to go, which can make this holiday season a very difficult time. By donating items that the family specifically needs, we can help them restore their hope in the process of recovery, and to find some light in the dark. You can sponsor a family at different levels. We suggest approximately $250 for individuals and couples, and starting at $500 for families of 3 or more. You can email us to notify that you would like to help, or you can download this file and fax it back to us, we’ll give you a list of things that they desperately need and you can purchase the items and bring them in to us to be delivered.
Volunteer Your Time
- If you would like to volunteer your time to the cause and want to know how to get started, check out our resource page here, our volunteer list here, or email us for specific information about a volunteer opportunity.
Donations
- If you would like to make an individual donation, click here to get some information about what is needed and where you can drop supplies off. Be sure to check what is needed before dropping anything off, as they have abundances of some items and lack others! If you have any questions about donations, you can send us an email to get more information.
I’m In Need
- If you have been affected by Hurricane Michael and are in need of essential items and substantial help, let us know! Send us an email telling us about your situation, and we will work with you to see how we can assist you. You can also download this file, fill it out, and fax it back to us if you have access to a printer and fax machine.

- If you would like to help by providing a resource for us or would like to partner with us to further the Spark of Hope Project mission, please email us to let us know! We cannot work alone and we need your help to make this holiday season a good one for the people of Calhoun County.
