Mike is a 3rd year doctoral student at Florida State’s Marriage and Family Therapy program. He attended Oklahoma State for his undergraduate degree and Syracuse University for his master’s in MFT. He specializes in the treatment of childhood trauma, domestic or intimate partner violence, and sexual assault in individual, couple and family therapy contexts. Mike is also particularly interested how abusive experiences shape disordered eating and body image.

Mike is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) and frequently utilizes those approaches in his clinical practice. These therapeutic approaches emphasize a client centered approach rooted in collaboration and respect.

I take a collaborative, client centered approach using evidenced based therapy helping individuals, couples and families.
