Amanda Capece, LMHC serves as the Clinical Director and Outpatient Therapist at Better Living Solutions Recovery Center. As Clinical Director, Amanda directs and provides oversight for the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for treatment of eating disorders.  She believes that full recovery is possible and is passionate about empowering and supporting individuals with eating disorders and mental health concerns to promote recovery.  She uses a variety of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Exposure Therapy and empowerment to help ensure mental health soundness.

She joined Better Living Solutions, LLC (BLS) in 2015 as one of the initial clinicians and assisted in expanding to the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). She participates in ongoing continuing education opportunities specifically in regards to eating disorder treatment and has completed her coursework and national exam in efforts to obtain her certificate as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. Within our community, Amanda facilitates trainings for professionals on eating disorders, provides education and support workshops for families and friends of those struggling with eating disorders, and assists in coordinating Tallahassee’s annual walk event for the National Eating Disorder Association (NEDA). Prior to BLS, Amanda worked with clients with mental illness, eating disorders, psychosis, and substance abuse concerns at Tallahassee Memorial Behavioral Health Center. She initially worked in administration at a residential eating disorder treatment center more than 10 years ago and recognized the need for furthering education and support for eating disorders within the Tallahassee community. Amanda obtained her Master’s and Education Specialist’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Florida State University.
